Film Reference

There is a bit Big Trouble in Little China in this but there is also a bit of Mr Vampire and a few other gems of Asian cinema.





I'm getting a lot of the folklore from Mr Vampire, as well as some other Asian Ghost Stories.
I'm also wanting to borrow the look of Pinky Violence films such as Female Yakuza Tale.







Bold colours, stylized compositions, close-ups. Here's some from Chinese Ghost Story, Chinese Erotic Ghost Story and House of Flying Daggers among others.











In part because I don't have a lot of cash, so if I use really strong lights with bright colours and minimal sets with strong shadows and lot's a black areas, I won't have to spend a lot,
